Our teen corner includes a lounge area with easy chairs, tables for doing homework and research, and a large collection of materials for teens. The Teen collection includes fiction and non-fiction books, graphic novels, as well as music CD's, books on cassette and CD, and magazines. Our library staff is ready to assist you in finding the information you need for homework or research projects in our book collections and reference resources as well as on-line research sites.
Middle High Schoolers are invited to stop in any day after school fromr 2:45 to 3:30 for CAVE (Creative Activities and Various Entertainments). Come and enjoy this opportunity to unwind and be creative with your friends. During the fall diligent designers created a colorful wall hanging, one square at a time. The finished artwork is now displayed in the Teen Reading area.
After knitting scarves for others to donate to the Salvation Army Hat and Mitten Tree in November and December, teens are now making themselves cozy headbands and other small knitting projects. Don't know how to knit? Join the group and learn how!
The library offered a reading program designed just for teens last summer! LIBRARY LIONS met on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 to 2:00. Teens received a free lunch and then enjoyed wacky, entertaining activities like creating robots out of trash and duct tape!
