(September 9, 2014) Mark your calendars. The library's fall book sale begins Saturday, September 27 and runs through Saturday, October 4. A wide assortment of books for all ages and interests will be available for sale at attractive prices. The library is now accepting donations of gently used books to add to the book sale fun. All sale proceeds support library programs and the purchase of new materials for you to check out and enjoy.
(August 28, 2014) Because we want to encourage young readers and get the school year off to a good start, the library has forgiven all the overdue fines for library patrons younger than 18. Any fines dating before August 18 have been waived, and so any younger person's card that was blocked because of overdue fines should be ready to use again right now. However, we have not forgiven the charges for lost items--things were checked out and never returned. To solve that problem, young patrons need to return those long-overdue materials to the library. Doing so will automatically remove the lost item charge and might well make the card usable again. If you're not sure what's going on with your card, stop by the library or give us a call and let's see what we can work out.
(August 1, 2014) If you are into drawing cartoon characters or super heros and have finished 5th grade or up, this creative event is for you. Come have fun learning more about drawing Cartoons and Manga with cartoonist, Doug Laubacher. Call the library at 330-868-4101 to sign up for this hands-on activity!
(July 31, 2014) Families with children of all ages are invited to join us for our last BOOK BLAST of the summer tomorrow, August 1 at 12 noon. Our special guest, Connie Phillips from Bird Nerds Rescue and Sanctuary, is bringing along several of her colorful feathered friends. The birds will help her tell the story and mission of Bird Nerds. All children 18 and under will receive a free lunch which will be served at 11:45.
